1) What are the requirements to enter the Post-Baccalaureate Undergraduate Pre-Medical Certificate Program?
Completion of a Bachelor’s degree at an accredited university. This certificate is not intended for students who took a Pre-Med or Pre-Health Professional curriculum during their first degree.
2) How do I apply for the Post-Baccalaureate Undergraduate Pre-Medical Certificate Program?
Request an appointment with Dr. Landrum, the Director of The Office of Pre-Health Professions Advising. All students taking courses toward admission in a professional school are encouraged to apply as degree seeking.
3) Is there an advantage in becoming a degree seeking student?
Yes, degree seeking students have priority during registration over certificate students. Also, for many students the completion of a second degree provides a more substantial and credible record of academic performance that can be an asset when making the case that grades earned in an earlier degree are not reflective of the student's current level of performance.
4) How do I apply to become degree seeking?
Apply online. Students who have earned a baccalaureate degree and were in good standing at the time they graduated should not experience difficulty in qualifying for regular admission. All applicants must supply official transcripts to the Office of Admissions during the application process.
